Max Hardcore sentenced to prison, Bush, Cheney, Yoo, Gonzalez remain at large

Paul F. Little, aka Max Hardcore, was sentenced by US District Court in Florida to three years and ten months in prison over obscenity charges for selling movies made by consenting adults and sold to consenting adults. Hardcore’s website was forfeited to the US government pursuant to his conviction. This happened in 2008!

I find Max Hardcore’s movies fucking disgusting and absolutely unsexy. The excellent Reverse Cowgirl blog describes watching a Max Hardcore movie as “akin to witnessing a vivisection”. BUT I WILL BE FUCKING GODDAMNED THAT ANYONE DECIDE WHAT I CAN AND CANNOT SEE! It is an absolute joke that the same justice system that declared the Geneva Convention “quaint” while spreading very real torture around the globe should decide that adults pooping on one another consentually should be illegal. In 2002, the Bush Department of Justice radically re-defined “torture” and illegal treatment of detainees to exclude anything that falls short of “the pain accompanying serious physical injury, such as organ failure, impairment of bodily function, or even death.” In 2003, then Deputy Assistant Attorney General John Yoo even decreed that the President could legally order “‘scalding water, corrosive acid or caustic substance’ thrown on a prisoner” and possibly even “slitting an ear, nose or lip, or disabling a tongue or limb.”

Just a question, but how is the movie SAW V- which is being released to hundreds of mainstream theaters in a few weeks- exempt from this legal precedent? Another unelected group with our “best interests” at heart, the MPAA, says that Saw V features “sequences of grisly bloody violence and torture, language and brief nudity”. If one were to scratch “brief” and add “urination” to that list, you would have a description of a Max Hardcore flick. To quote the great philosopher Roger Miret, “Blind justice screwed all of us…we need justice for all of us…Stigma!”
